Interviewing at TiVo
Thanks for setting aside some of your time to meet with us. This is a good opportunity for you to showcase your accomplishments and to learn what TiVo is about.
Here are some tips to make your visit to TiVo a better experience:
- Get your rest. Our interviews are structured for you to meet with four to six individuals (30-45 minutes a piece) and we want you to shine.
- Allow for travel time. No sense in being a rush, it throws everyone off.
- Bring documents and material. Beyond the employment application, NDA and Disclosure and Consent form… do you have a portfolio to share or an item to underscore a point? Don’t forget them!
- Be comfortable. We dress casually, so you can too (in your best, presentable way). No need for a suit and tie.
- Review how you match to the opportunity and TiVo. Know how you fit the role you're interested in. Giving examples of where you have done similar things helps us imagine you in our business environment.
- Be transparent. While we think the TiVo product and service is for everyone, TiVo may not line up with everyone’s career path in the sense of timing. If it there isn’t alignment, we hope you would let us know (and vice versa). Life is too short for bad TV - or for a bad match between you and an organization.
- Ask questions. We certainly will - but we also want you to get to know us and what makes us tick.
- Conduct reference checks… on us. Yes, really. If you know folks who are presently working at TiVo, ask them how they view their work and life here at TiVo. There's nothing like getting current information.
If you’re still wondering about something, please ask your recruiter!
We look forward to meeting you,
The TiVo Team
