Home network

A home network is typically defined as one or more devices (like computers and printers) connected together in your home via a wired Ethernet network or a wireless network. Most home networks are also connected to the Internet.Connecting your TiVo® box to your Internet-connected home network lets your TiVo box:

  • Instantly watch movies & TV shows from your Netflix unlimited account (Series3 boxes and later)
  • Download movies and shows from TiVo online partners like Amazon Instant Video
  • Watch unlimited web videos on YouTube™ (Series3™ boxes and later)
  • Stream your favorite music from your Pandora or Rhapsody account

Even if you're home network isn't connected to the Internet, you can still:

Home networkIf you have a home network, all you need to do plug an Ethernet cable into the back of your TiVo box, or connect the TiVo wireless adapter if you have a wireless network in your home.
