How to download movies from BLOCKBUSTER On Demand®
You can rent movies from BLOCKBUSTER On Demand directly from your broadband-connected TiVo® DVR and download them to your Now Playing List.
Before you begin: linking your blockbuster.com and tivo.com accounts
In order to start renting movies from BLOCKBUSTER On Demand and downloading them to your TiVo DVR’s Now Playing List, you need to link your blockbuster.com and your tivo.com accounts. Once your accounts are linked, you can easily order videos directly from your TiVo DVR any time you wish.
Note: If you have multiple TiVo DVRs, you only need to link your account to one of them. Once completed, the linking applies to all DVRs on the account.
- Show the steps
On your computer, sign in to your tivo.com account at tivo.com/manage.
Select "DVR preferences" on the left, and make sure your TiVo DVRs are enabled for transfers and video downloads.
Create your free blockbuster.com account at http:www.blockbuster.com/tivo/activate. Make note of your blockbuster.com user name and password.
On your TiVo DVR, go to TiVo Central®, then select 'Video on Demand' > 'BLOCKBUSTER'.
Browse BLOCKBUSTER On Demand and find a movie you like, then proceed to checkout. You'll be prompted to complete a three-step process to link your blockbuster.com and tivo.com accounts.
You will need your blockbuster.com user name, your blockbuster.com password, and your tivo.com password to complete the account linking.
Note: You will need to create a BLOCKBUSTER 5-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). Your 5-digit PIN will be required each time you rent a video from BLOCKBUSTER for downloading to your TiVo DVR.
Congratulations! You are now ready to download videos from BLOCKBUSTER On Demand!
Finding, renting and downloading BLOCKBUSTER videos — from your TV
Once your accounts are linked you can easily find, rent, and download BLOCKBUSTER On Demand videos right from your couch.
- Show the steps
On your TiVo DVR, go to TiVo Central, then select 'Video on Demand' > 'BLOCKBUSTER'.
From here you can browse BLOCKBUSTER On Demand videos available for downloading.
When you find a video you want, select it, enter your 5-digit PIN and press "Select" when done.
Press "Thumbs Up" to complete your rental.
Your video will begin to download in a few minutes and will appear in your Now Playing List.
Note: You can also search for your favorites by going to 'TiVo Central' > 'Find Programs' > 'TiVo Search' or 'Swivel Search' and using your TiVo remote control to enter part of a title or an actor's name. Programs that are available to download are marked with a download icon.
