How to enjoy TiVo service on your PC

Setting up Nero Liquid TV | TiVo PC
Set up is quick and easy. If your PC has a TV tuner, you can simply download the Nero LiquidTV software to get started. If your PC does not have a TV tuner, you can purchase the Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC retail package, which includes the Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC software and an external tuner, from a retailer near you or from Nero.com.
Install the software and any necessary hardware, then complete the on-screen Guided Setup. During Guided Setup, you will set up your tuner(s) and channels, choose your programming source (cable, antenna, etc.), and connect to the TiVo service to receive program information. Easy-to-follow steps will have your Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC up and running in no time.
Moving around Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC
Just like the TiVo DVR experience on your TV, Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC is easy to use, and it has all the great TiVo features you know and love. You can control Nero LiquidTV either with your mouse and keyboard, or with a TiVo remote control (included with the retail package or available separately from the TiVo store)!
- Show the steps

Launch Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC to get to the TiVo Central® screen. From here, you can watch recorded shows, find shows to record, watch live TV, view the program guide, watch a DVD, read new messages, or change your settings.

To navigate around the TiVo screens, use the arrow keys on your TiVo remote or computer keyboard, and press SELECT (on your remote) or ENTER (on your keyboard) to select an option. Or simply click an option with your mouse.

Return to TiVo Central at any time by pressing the TiVo button on your remote control, pressing the letter T on your keyboard, or using your mouse to click the left arrow at the top of the screen. (If you don't see a left arrow, hover your mouse over the TiVo icon at the top left of your screen.)
Controlling live TV
What's better than watching live TV right on your PC? Controlling it! With Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC, you can pause, rewind, fast forward, slow motion, and instant replay live TV with the click of a button.
- Show the steps

To watch live TV, just do one of the following:
- Select "Watch Live TV" from the TiVo Central screen
- When the video preview window is visible, press the WINDOW button on your remote control.
- When the video preview window is visible, hover your mouse over it to display live TV controls, then click the 'Full Screen' icon.

To control live TV with your TiVo remote, use the PAUSE, PLAY, BACK, and FORWARD buttons.

To control live TV with your mouse, hover your mouse over the live TV window. Controls will appear at the bottom of your screen.
Finding and recording shows
Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC gives you lots of ways to find and record your favorite (and soon-to-be favorite) shows quickly and easily.
- Show the steps

If you know the title of the show you want to record, select 'Find Programs' > 'Search.' Use your keyboard or the on-screen letter grid to enter the name of the program. When the TiVo service returns a match, you can schedule a single recording or a Season Pass® recording (which will record every episode of the show, even if the day or time changes).

Not sure what you want to watch? Try these options:
- Browse the program guide. Select 'View Guide' from TiVo Central or press the GUIDE button on your remote control. Browse through the guide, and when you see a show you'd like to record, select it or right click on the title. You'll be able to record the show, see a list of upcoming episodes, get a Season Pass, and view other options.
- Search by category. Select 'Find Programs' > 'Category.' Choose the category and sub-category of shows you're interested in finding. When you find something you like, select it to view recording options.
- Create a WishList® search. Select 'Find Programs' > 'WishList Search.' Select keywords, title keywords, actor, director, category, or any combination of these to tailor a search to your exact specifications. You can even have Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC automatically record shows that match your search criteria!
Watching recorded shows
All the shows you record with Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC—even shows that are currently being recorded—appear in the Now Playing List. To watch your shows, just select 'Now Playing List' from the TiVo Central screen, and then select the show you want to watch. It's that easy!
Use your TiVo remote control or the controls that appear when you hover your mouse over the video window to control your recorded shows just like you can control live TV!
Burning shows to DVD
You can burn all the shows your record with Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC to DVD with just a few clicks!
- Show the steps

Insert a recordable DVD into the drive connected to your Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC computer.

Select "DVD: Empty disc inserted" from the TiVo Central screen.

Select "Save programs to DVD."

If prompted, select which DVD to use.

The Choose Programs screen will display a list of all available recordings. Select the programs you want to record to disc, then select "Done choosing programs." Note that programs will appear on the DVD in the order in which you select them.

Enter the name for your DVD, then select "Done entering name."

On the confirmation screen, select "Begin copying to DVD."
Saving shows for your portable device
From the Now Playing list, select the show you want to save for your mobile device.
- Show the steps

Insert a recordable DVD into the drive connected to your Nero LiquidTV | TiVo PC computer.

Click 'More Options' > 'Save to Portable.' The Save or Convert screen is displayed.

Click "Convert for portable player (iPod, PSP)."

Choose to convert just this recording or choose additional recordings to convert. After choosing additional recordings, click "Done choosing programs."

Set your conversion options: select the portable player type, and choose whether to keep or delete original recordings after conversion), then select "Convert with these options."

When conversion is complete, converted recordings can be found in the My Recordings folder in the Now Playing list. You can now transfer these recordings to your portable device.
