I’ll Have My Holidays with TiVo Spice

November already?! As we enter the holiday season at fast-forward speed, don’t forget to take advantage of one of my favorite TiVo features—WishList^® searches.

After all, let’s be clear about one thing: Anyone in the TiVo community does not need some woman named Martha to help plan Thanksgiving dinner. All of us can get cookin' (and get the whole family involved) by entering a few creative WishList^® searches into your nearest TiVo DVR. Here’s how to do it:

• From Find TV, select Create a WishList^® search. Select Keyword and enter your favorite turkey-day trimmings, e.g. CRANBERRY, PUMPKIN, PARSNIPS, STUFFING, etc.

  Tip: Use quotes with the PAUSE button to indicate exact phrase, like "PUMPKIN PIE".

• Select Arts and Living as a Category and Cooking as a Subcategory.
• Select View upcoming episodes to list relevant programs
• Once you see the how-to show that serves up the best recipe, schedule recordings as your tummy tempts.

Or, for a broader search, try this:
From Create a WishList search, select Category Only > Interests > Holiday > View upcoming episodes.
