When you set up a MoCA Network Adapter in your home, your TiVo DVR will receive cable TV and connect to your home network through your existing coax cable. Use a MoCA connection if:

• You can't use a wired Ethernet connection to connect your TiVo DVR to your home network
• You want to use the TiVo Stream with your TiVo Premiere series DVR
• You want to stream shows between two or more networked TiVo Premiere series DVRs

TiVo Premiere and Premiere XL DVR owners
You will need two MoCA Network Adapters: one that connects to your home network and one that connects to the back of your DVR.

TiVo Premiere 4 and XL4 DVR owners
You will need one MoCA Network Adapter if your DVR cannot use a wired Ethernet cable to connect to your home network. If your DVR can use a wired Ethernet connection, you do not need a MoCA Network Adapter; just connect a coax cable to your DVR, and you’re all set!

A MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) "Point of Entry" filter is designed to keep MoCA signals concentrated in your home and may improve the performance of a MoCA home network. Install it in-line only at the point of entry of your cable line into your home.
