You can deselect channels that you do not receive, or which have content that you do not want to view or record. When you deselect a channel, it no longer appears when you channel up and down, and the programs on the channel do not appear in the Find Programs screen. For example, if you have a Series3 HD DVR, you can deselect all the standard definition channels for which you have high definition equivalents, to ensure that you always record the high-definition versions of programs.

To select and de-select channels, perform the following steps:

From TiVo Central, select Read New Messages & Settings; then Settings; then Channels; then Channel List.

Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select the channel.

Press SELECT to add or remove the channel. A checkmark appears next to selected channels.

The Series2 Dual Tuner will automatically select the “cbl” version of all analog channels. TiVo recommends against selecting the “box” version of an analog channel. Doing so may interfere with the DVRs ability to record an analog channel and digital channel simultaneously.
