How can I watch and/or record a Pay Per View or Video on Demand program?

Series2 DVR

 

To view and record a Pay Per View (PPV) or Video on Demand (VOD) program with your Series2 DVR, do the following:

 

Step one:Purchase the Pay Per View or Video on Demand program. Make sure you are caught up to Live TV (press the ADVANCE button).

* Call your cable/satellite provider to purchase the program

or

* If you have a cable box or satellite box, you can order the program using the cable or satellite box remote control.

 
 

Step two:Once you manually authorize a Pay Per View or OnDemand purchase from your cable or satellite company, the TiVo service allows you to select and record that program. With many cable systems, you can schedule a Pay Per View program to record by selecting it from the TiVo Live Guide or from Find Programs as you would any other program.

You can also record a Pay Per View or OnDemand event by setting up a manual recording.

 
 

Note: The channel call letters may be blank if the channel is not in the program guide.


 

 

Series3 or TiVo HD DVR

 

You can view and manually schedule a recording of a Pay Per View (PPV) program, BUT ONLY if your cable provider allows you to purchase it over the phone. To do so, use the following instructions.

 

NotesUnfortunately, it is not possible at this time to view or record Video on Demand (VOD) programs with a Series3 or TiVo HD DVR.

 

Step 1Contact your cable provider to order the Pay Per View program.

 
 

Step 2Set up a manual recording of the program.
