If you previously had cable without a box, and now have a cable box, perform the following steps:

Connect your cable box to your DVR.

• If you have a single tuner DVR, go to How Do I Set Up My Single Tuner DVR with a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver and a VCR?
• If you have a dual tuner DVR, go to How Do I Set Up My Dual Tuner DVR with a Cable Box?

Make sure that you connect either the serial control cable or IR cable to control channel changing, as specified in the setup article.

Repeat Guided Setup. For more information, go to How Do I Repeat Guided Setup? Make sure that you select the correct cable provider and lineup, and indicate that you have a cable box when asked.
