Picture quality issues with Verizon FiOS service

If you are using Verizon FIOS service with an HD TiVo DVR, you may see video that looks blocky and distorted. If you check the Signal Strength Meter, you may notice widely fluctuating signal levels.

To view the Signal Strength meter, from TiVo Central select  Messages & Settings > Settings > Channels > Signal Strength - Cable and follow the on-screen instructions.

The picture quality issues can be resolved easily by installing a low-pass filter or diplexer in the cable line.
