A Son

In 2011 Tunisia, Fares is driving home with his wife Meriem and their 11-year-old son Aziz when they are caught in a crossfire, and the boy ends up getting shot. The couple has a hard time searching for a liver donor to save their son's life since the country's Islamic culture doesn't encourage organ transplants. Matters get more complicated when they discover that Fares is not the biological father of the boy.
