Once Upon a River

After being abandoned by her mother, Margo finds herself fatherless when he gets shot while attempting to save her from sexual assault. She then takes on Stark River with only a gun, her training as a hunter, and her belief that she will meet her mother again. On her journey, she meets a plethora of characters: Will, a traveling loner with whom she falls in love with; Paul and Brian, two poachers who buy deer meat from her; and Smoke, a dying musician.
