You have three payment options when it comes to the TiVo service. You can pay a monthly or annual TiVo service fee, or pay just once with an All-In Service Plan. Service Plan Terms and Conditions

Any TiVo Unified Entertainment System or TiVo DVR requires an active TiVo service subscription for full functionality. TiVo currently offers several service plans:

For of any new models (or models previously activated for 30 or fewer days) of the TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX or the TiVo Roamio (other than a TiVo Roamio OTA 1 TB), you may select any of the following service subscriptions:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $14.99/month (plus any applicable taxes), with a one (1)-year commitment and a $75 early termination fee1; or

• An annual service plan, at the then-published rate (currently $149.99/year, plus any applicable taxes)2; or

• An All-In plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $549.99 (plus any applicable taxes).3

For any model TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX or TiVo Roamio (other than a TiVo Roamio OTA 1 TB) previously activated for over 30 days, you may select any of the following service subscriptions:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $14.99/month (plus any applicable taxes), with no commitment; or

• An annual service plan, at the then-published rate (currently $149.99/year, plus any applicable taxes)2; or

• An All-In plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $549.99 (plus any applicable taxes).3

New or previously activated TiVo Roamio OTA 1 TB have an All-In plan3 included with your box purchase.

For previously activated TiVo Premiere DVRs, you may select either:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $14.99/month (plus any applicable taxes), with no commitment; or

• An All-In plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $549.99 (plus any applicable taxes).3

For previously activated TiVo DVR models other than a TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX, TiVo Roamio or TiVo Premiere, you may select either service subscription:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $12.95/month (plus any applicable taxes), with no commitment; or

• An All-In plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $549.99 (plus any applicable taxes).3

Additional Terms and Restrictions

TiVo Service Subscriptions:

• No-commitment monthly service is available with the purchase of a new full-priced TiVo device directly from TiVo (call TiVo Customer Service, at 877-289-8486, for more information). No-commitment monthly service is available with the purchase of a previously activated TiVo device from a third party.

• With respect solely to any TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX or TiVo Roamio DVR which is eligible for, and on which you have obtained, either an annual service plan or a monthly service plan (but not an All-In plan): your service plan includes, at no additional charge, an enhanced limited warranty (known as "Continual Care") for the full, uninterrupted duration of your annual or monthly TiVo service subscription. With Continual Care, and for a cost of $49.00 (plus shipping and any applicable taxes) after ninety (90) days from your purchase date, you can exchange a defective or inoperative TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX or TiVo Roamio DVR for a repaired, renewed or comparable product (at TiVo's discretion). • TiVo devices do not work with satellite. The TiVo BOLT and TiVo BOLT VOX do not work with external cable boxes or analog cable.

To receive digital cable channels, a TiVo Unified Entertainment System or TiVo DVR requires one multi-stream CableCARD decoder from your cable provider. Additional fees may apply from your cable provider.

  • What if I have an HD antenna? What are my options?

    The TiVo BOLT VOX 500 GB and BOLT VOX 1TB both work with either an HD antenna or cable.

  • Does TiVo BOLT VOX give me enough space to record all my shows?

    With three different models to choose from, there’s a TiVo BOLT VOX engineered just for you. The TiVo BOLT VOX 500 GB records up to 75 hours of HD programming; the BOLT VOX 1TB doubles that (up to 150 HD hours) while the  BOLT VOX 3TB can record up to 450 HD hours. Still not enough? You can always purchase additional storage capacity for your TiVo BOLT VOX. See our accessories page for more details.

  • What type of signal sources are TiVo Roamio OTA VOX DVRs compatible with?

    TiVo Roamio OTA VOX receives signals from a digital HD antenna. It is not compatible with cable, Google Fiber, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-Verse or satellite systems

  • Is there a service fee or commitment?

    No. Never. Roamio OTA VOX is sold with an All-In service plan, which is included for the life of the product. There is no additional service fee or commitment. If you use streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, those fees are not included and must be purchased separately from the provider.

  • What is SkipMode®? Does it come with TiVo Roamio OTA VOX? And how does it help me avoid commercials?

    Any recorded show enabled with the SkipMode feature will display a SKIP icon next to the episode title in My Shows. When a commercial break starts, just press the blue VOICE button and tell TiVo to “Skip it” or hit the green SKIP button on your remote, and you'll be on the other side of those commercials in the blink of an eye. If you hit the button during a program, you'll skip past your show and through the next commercial break, which is great for bypassing the dull parts you don't want to see. Although not all shows are available with the SkipMode feature, we've taken great pains to enable SkipMode on many of the most popular channels. For more information, see channel details.

  • Can I use my mobile device to control my TiVo Roamio OTA VOX? Can I schedule a recording while I’m away from home?

    The free TiVo app for tablets and smartphones is a great way to keep your TiVo Roamio OTA VOX at your fingertips. Available for both iOS and Android, the app lets you see what’s on tonight, schedule a recording, manage upcoming tasks or search for a show you just heard about at work. You can control this stuff from anywhere you have a connection to the Internet. This handy app even has a remote control feature if you prefer controlling your TiVo Roamio OTA VOX on the couch with your mobile device.

  • How does the money back guarantee work?

  • Does the TiVo Roamio OTA VOX have an HDMI port?

    All TiVo Roamio DVRs provide an HDMI output. TiVo Roamio OTA VOX supports up to 16 simultaneous HDMI connections when connected to a compatible HDMI switch.

  • How much does TiVo Mini VOX cost?

    To be activated, TiVo Mini VOX requires:

    1. A one-time cost of $179.99 to purchase the unit
    2. Access to the TiVo Service: the TiVo Service is included for a TiVo Mini VOX connected to a compatible TiVo DVR* in the home.
    • Monthly service fee: no monthly service fee
  • How many TiVo Mini VOX boxes can be supported on one TiVo network?

    Up to ten TiVo Mini VOX boxes can be supported by one TiVo network containing TiVo BOLT, BOLT VOX, Roamio or Premiere DVRs. One tuner is used each time a TiVo Mini VOX is on the network. Therefore, depending on the number of TiVo DVRs and tuners you have available, you may not be able to have all ten operating simultaneously.
    TiVo BOLT, BOLT VOX and Roamio devices allow for dynamic tuner allocation, so the tuner is only used when the TiVo Mini VOX needs it and is released back to the DVR for use when the Mini VOX isn’t in use. TiVo Premiere DVRs do NOT support dynamic tuner allocation, so any Mini VOX connected to a Premiere is allocated a constantly dedicated tuner and therefore reduces the tuners available for the Premiere DVR.
     

    Mini VOX does not have a tuner or hard drive, and does not need a CableCARD. Additionally, the remote in the TiVo app cannot control TiVo Mini VOX. 

  • Does TiVo BOLT VOX work with my existing cable service?

    Yes. TiVo BOLT VOX is compatible with all major cable providers and Verizon FiOS, so you don't need to change your provider if you don't want to. As a bonus, Comcast subscribers can access all their XFINITY® On Demand programming through their TiVo BOLT VOX. Same goes for many COX Cable subscribers and their COX On Demand content.

     
  • What is a CableCARD™ device and why do I need one?

    Simply put, the CableCARD is a small, plug-in card, supplied by your cable company, that's inserted into a slot on your TiVo BOLT VOX so you can receive digital cable channels. Once inserted and paired to your BOLT VOX, a CableCARD ensures that you get all the high-definition and digital cable channels included in your cable TV subscription package. Some cable operators offer CableCARD devices free of charge, while other cable operators may charge a nominal monthly rental fee.   • Is my TiVo BOLT OTA box covered by a warranty?

    Every new TiVo BOLT OTA includes a manufacturer’s limited warranty that offers 90 days of coverage for parts & labor and parts coverage for one year starting from the purchase date. See TiVo DVR Limited Warranty for full details.
    In addition, if your BOLT OTA is subscribed, from the date of purchase, to a monthly or annual TiVo service plan it is also covered with TiVo’s Continual Care, which will replace a non-working, out-of-warranty BOLT OTA for just $49.99 (plus shipping and any applicable taxes) as long as you maintain continuous, active TiVo service.*
