The TiVo service powers cross-platform universal searches, runs the voice remote control and fuels exclusive features like SkipMode®, QuickMode® and OnePassTM. You have three payment options when it comes to the TiVo service. You can pay a monthly or annual TiVo service fee, or pay just once with an All-In Service Plan. For those with monthly or annual service plans, continual care protection is also included as part of your TiVo service fee.

Service Plan Pricing and Purchase Information

An active TiVo service subscription is required for full functionality. TiVo currently offers several service plans for all models:

For any new or previously activated TiVo models (other than a TiVo BOLT OTA or TiVo Roamio OTA), you may select any of the following service subscriptions:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $14.99/month (plus any applicable taxes), with a one (1)-year commitment and a $75 early termination fee (FN1); or

• An annual service plan, at the then-published rate (currently $149.99/year, plus any applicable taxes)(FN1); or

• An All-In Plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $549.99 (plus any applicable taxes). (FN3)

For a new or previously activated TiVo BOLT OTA model, you may select any of the following service subscriptions:

• A monthly service plan, at the current rate of $6.99/month (plus any applicable taxes), with a one (1)-year commitment and a $50 early termination fee(FN1); or

• An annual service plan, at the then-published rate (currently $69.99/year, plus any applicable taxes) (FN1); or

• An All-In Plan, for a one (1)-time payment at the current rate of $249.99 (plus any applicable taxes).(FN3)

The new or previously activated TiVo Roamio OTA 1 TB model has an All-In plan3 included with your box purchase.

TiVo Service Subscriptions

• No-commitment monthly service is available with the purchase of a new full-priced TiVo device directly from TiVo (call TiVo Customer Service, at 877-289-8486, for more information). No-commitment monthly service is available with the purchase of a previously activated TiVo device from a third party.

• With respect solely to any TiVo product purchased which is eligible for, and on which you have obtained, either an annual service plan or a monthly service plan (but not an All-In Plan): your service plan includes, at no additional charge, an enhanced limited warranty (known as "Continual Care") for the full, uninterrupted duration of your annual or monthly TiVo service subscription. With Continual Care, and for a cost of $49.00 (plus shipping and any applicable taxes) after ninety (90) days from your purchase date, you can exchange a defective or inoperative eligible TiVo product for a repaired, renewed or comparable product (at TiVo's discretion). The exclusions and restrictions pertaining to exchanges contained in the TiVo DVR Limited Warranty continue to apply; please review TiVo’s DVR Limited Warranty for details.

• Under certain TiVo offers, certain service plan options (e.g., a monthly plan; an annual service plan; an All-In Plan) may not be available. Call TiVo Customer Service (at 877-367-8486) for details on any such current promotional offers.

• TiVo reserves the right to change or discontinue previously offered features or functionality at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

Satellite and Digital Cable Information

TiVo devices do not work with satellite. The TiVo Premiere 4/XL4/Elite DVRs and the TiVo Roamio Pro/Plus DVRs are intended for use with digital cable systems only and do not work with external cable boxes, analog cable, or over-the-air antennas. The TiVo BOLT and TiVo BOLT VOX do not work with external cable boxes or analog cable. The TiVo BOLT OTA only works with a digital antenna.

To receive digital cable channels, a TiVo Entertainment System or TiVo DVR requires one multi-stream CableCARD decoder from your cable provider. Additional fees may apply from your cable provider

FN1 Until you cancel a monthly or annual (or other recurring) TiVo service subscription by calling customer service at 1-877-367-8486, your subscription automatically will renew (on a month-to-month basis for a monthly TiVo service subscription, or on a year-to-year basis for an annual TiVo service subscription, or such other periodic term as designated in your subscription) at the end of each subscription term, and unless we notify you otherwise, at the same service fee (even if you are not using the TiVo device or it has been lost, sold, or otherwise transferred).

- With a new All-In Plan subscription, (a) you pay just once (rather than monthly, annually, or in some other frequency) for your TiVo service subscription, (b) your subscription lasts for as long as your TiVo device is operational (or until TiVo discontinues support for your device, whichever comes first), and (c) you cannot transfer your subscription to another TiVo device (except in cases of warranty repair or replacement under applicable warranty terms).

- An All-In Plan subscription accompanies the TiVo device in case of ownership transfer. With an All-In Plan, you receive those TiVo service features that we make generally available to all customers who have activated a TiVo service subscription for that same TiVo product, except as otherwise noted by TiVo. You may incur separate charges for certain third-party content, services or applications; these items are not considered part of the TiVo service. In addition, TiVo reserves the right to subsequently release, and to charge separate amounts for, new features or functionality which are not made generally available to all customers who have activated TiVo service on a particular TiVo product.

TiVo's Continual Care protection covers your TiVo BOLT OTA for the uninterrupted duration of your monthly or annual TiVo service subscription.

Continual Care does not apply to the All-in Service Plan.

TiVo's Continual Care warranty covers your TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX, TiVo BOLT OTA, or TiVo Roamio for the uninterrupted, from the date of purchase of the eligible TiVo product, duration of your monthly or annual TiVo service subscription. With TiVo Continual Care Protection we'll send you a replacement box at no charge (except you are responsible for shipping costs) if your TiVo BOLT, TiVo BOLT VOX, TiVo BOLT OTA, or TiVo Roamio needs repair within the first 90 days from your date of purchase.* After 90 days, you'll receive a replacement box for just $49.00 (plus shipping and applicable taxes).* No one else in the industry offers protection quite like this.

  • Is my TiVo BOLT OTA box covered by a warranty?

    Every new TiVo BOLT OTA includes a manufacturer’s limited warranty that offers 90 days of coverage for parts & labor and parts coverage for one year starting from the purchase date. See TiVo DVR Limited Warranty for full details.

  • How does TiVo’s money-back guarantee work?

    You bet! The TiVo BOLT OTA DVR works with any HD digital antenna.

  • What type of signal sources is my TiVo BOLT OTA DVR compatible with?

    TiVo BOLT OTA receives signals from a digital HD antenna. It is not compatible with cable, Google Fiber, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-Verse or satellite systems

  • How many TV stations will I be able to watch with my BOLT OTA and HD antenna?

    Quantity and quality of TV stations will depend on a number of things including type of antenna, distance to broadcast towers, the terrain, and the surroundings (nearby houses, buildings, trees, etc.). For an approximate idea on what stations will be available to you, click here

  • If I use TiVo BOLT OTA with an antenna, do the stations I receive cost me anything?

    No, they’re absolutely free. Here’s how it works. BOLT OTA has four ATSC tuners that allow it to record up to four channels at once from digital over-the-air broadcasts in full HD clarity.(FN1) ATSC broadcasts are complete free and are accessible by uing any HD antenna, which are available for purchase at retail stores. FN1 – HD recording requires original broadcast to be in HD.

  • How much can I record with my TiVo BOLT OTA?

    Lots. You can record up to four shows at once. The TiVo BOLT OTA ‘s 1 TB of recording capacity allows you to record up to 150 hours of HD programming – plenty of room for those must-see shows.

  • I want to use my current TiVo Mini with a TiVo BOLT VOX or BOLT OTA. Can I do that?

    Yes! Your TiVo Mini can connect to a TiVo BOLT OTA as a host. Because your Mini must use the same software version as its host, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your Mini to the New TiVo Experience the first time you connect it to a BOLT OTA host. If you later connect to a TiVo DVR that is not running the New TiVo Experience, your Mini may prompt you to downgrade in order to access the TiVo DVR running an older

  • What is SkipMode®? Does it come with TiVo BOLT OTA? And how does it help me avoid commercials?

    Any recorded show enabled with the SkipMode feature will display a SKIP icon next to the episode title in My Shows. When a commercial break starts, just press the blue VOICE button and tell TiVo to “Skip it” or hit the green SKIP button on your remote, and you'll be on the other side of those commercials in the blink of an eye. If you hit the button during a program, you'll skip past your show and through the next commercial break, which is great for bypassing the dull parts you don't want to see. Although not all shows are available with the SkipMode feature, we've taken great pains to enable SkipMode on many of the most popular channels. For more information, see channel details.
