Downwind

2023 Documentary, Science 1h 36m NR

The documentary unravels how the United States government conducted many nuclear tests in Mercury, Nevada, from 1951 to 1992. Many nuclear weapons were blasted within this concentrated area, but 928 tests took a toll as the wind blew the radiation to other areas in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. As an example, Patrick Wayne speaks about how his father, Western film legend John Wayne, was affected by it during a film shoot.
