Still Life

In Fengjie county, a small town faces destruction in the name of progress as an industrial company purchases the land to build a dam. Meanwhile, a man and a woman arrive in the town on a quest to reconnect with their former spouses. In the process, they become the reluctant eyewitnesses to socio-economic tension and the privileging of modernity over tradition.
