One day, aspiring writer Henry meets with the famous writer Alex to get his expert advice on his novel. His tale is about David and his wife Eva. One day, Eva confesses that she is pregnant with a child that is not David's and that she is intending to leave him. Livid, David tinkers with the brakes of her car to cause it to crash. When Eva vanishes David thinks he killed her, but years later, he realizes that he may not have.
