Scheme Birds

This documentary film centers on Gemma, a teenager whose life hasn't been particularly rosy. Born in 1997, she is left to the care of her grandfather because her mother is a drug addict. A few years later, she finds herself being disowned by her grandfather after she gets pregnant by her boyfriend. With nowhere to go, she decides to move to an apartment complex where violence is a common occurrence. Despite that, she strives to create a loving environment for her growing child.
