I am Woman

This film tells the story of feminist icon Helen Reddy, who shot to stardom after releasing the song “I am Woman” that resonated with the burgeoning feminist movement during the early 1970s. The story traces Helen's early life as a 24-year-old Australian who arrives in New York City with only her three-year-old daughter, a suitcase, and a dream of making it big as a singer in America.
